Astral Aviation CEO appointed to Global Aircargo Association Board

Astral Aviation is pleased to announce that it’s Founder & CEO, Mr Sanjeev S Gadhia, was appointed to the Board of TIACA (The International Air Cargo Association, USA) which is the largest air-cargo association in the world.

Mr. Gadhia who is also the Vice Chairman of AFRAA (African Airlines Association) Cargo Task Force, becomes the first executive from Africa, to join the Board of TIACA, which is a major step for the aviation fraternity in Africa.

“I am extremely honored and privileged to be appointed, as the only member from Africa, to the Board of TIACA which is an Association that I have been a member of for the past 17 years,” said Gadhia.

“As the Vice Chairman of the largest airlines association of Africa, AFRAA (African Airlines Association) Cargo Task Force, it is my objective to foster a closer co-operation with TIACA which will add immense value to both organizations.

“For AFRAA, it will enable its members and especially the Cargo Task Force, to embrace the opportunities that TIACA will bring aboard in areas such as networking, education & training, industry relations and participation in TIACA cargo events as a group.

“For TIACA, it will enable the organization to reach-out to the air cargo fraternity in Africa and also to assist AFRAA in its lobbying efforts to a global level. It will also enable it to promote its air-cargo development program to African airlines and also have a greater participation from African airlines at the TIACA cargo events.”
