Astral Aviation is a licensed cargo airline that acquired its Air Operators Certificate (AoC) and Air Service License (ASL) from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority in the year 2001.
Astral operates a fleet of Antonov-12, Antonov-72 and Cessna Caravan aircraft out of its dual-hub at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and Lokichoggio Airport, both of which are located in Kenya.
Within its intra-African network, which encompasses 50 destinations, Astral operates a combination of non-scheduled and adhoc charters along with value-added leasing services. Its interline agreements with Kenya Airways, Martinair Cargo, Das Air, British Airways & Air Mauritius facilitate the consolidation and transshipment of in-bound cargoes at the freighter-friendly Jomo Kenyatta International Airport
Astral is a socially responsible company with a total workforce in excess of 70 individuals. Its freight-oriented services have helped bolster regional import / export economies as well as aiding in humanitarian relief efforts to drought, famine and conflict affected areas.
